I'm an author and journalist from Yorkshire, now living in the Cotswolds. I love UK travel and am as passionate about our lovely country, the outdoors, walking and cycling as I am about writing, so combining them all into one blissful job is a dream.
I have authored the official guidebook to 150 of the UK's best traffic-free cycle rides, which was published by Sustrans in March 2015 to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the National Cycle Network. |
Some of the great British long-distance cycle rides that I've ridden and written about for newspapers and magazines include the 250-mile Lon Las Cymru from Holyhead to Chepstow, the 170-mile Way of the Roses across Lancashire and Yorkshire, the 100-mile Norfolk Coast Cycleway and the 130-mile Yorkshire Dales Cycleway.
More regularly, you might find me striding around Rodborough Common admiring the views or cycling the traffic-free path from Stroud to Nailsworth with my little boy for company. |
